Two musical folkloric works by Bartók and Martinů and the relatively unknown Ballade for Violoncello and Piano by Prokofiev will take us on a journey into the world of those three famous composers who have, rather innovatively, fused the Central European music tradition with their own musical style. Companions on this journey are three contemporary Greek composers, Vasiliki Filippaiou, Alkis Papadopoulos and Konstantinos Flerianos, each with a highly personal style yet together forming a starting and ending point in this musical journey.

Maria Moschidou (piano) and Vasilis Lykos (violoncello) will perform.

The concert, organized by Hellenic American College's Bachelor of Music (BM) Program in cooperation with Hellenic American University (Manchester, NH, USA) and the Greek Composers Union, will be held on Tuesday, March 31st 2015, at 20:30, in the Hellenic American Union Auditorium located at 22 Massalias Street, Athens.

Art director: Thodoros Antoniou.

Admission is free of charge.
